In addition to the costs that each team will incur in purchasing materials and ingredients there are a number of other costs that they might incur and below is a table of some of these possible costs. We have set a rate and for different aspects including printing, adult support, hire of equipment, buying advertising space... It is not a comprehensive list and during the course of the project more things can be added and if participating schools get requests for something that is not on the list then they will need to contact the project co-ordinator to get them added.

As these extra costs are incurred, the teams must record them on their account sheets which must be checked for accuracy by the teachers.

Charging for everything simulates more accurately the running of a business where nothing is for free!
